Research usually using google.com --------------------------------- Entering http://google.com in a browser can cause a redirect to the local google url e.g. google.co.uk. However for most sites we need to stick with google.com for research. To get round this use http://google.com/ncr or http://www.google.com/webhp. Also deleting google cookies can get round it too. Here is the google page on this topic http://www.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=873&topic=8995 If you need to research a topic for a particular country use say google.com.au or google.co.uk in the browser address box. As for yahoo and MSN I don't know but suspect similar strategy. Please search their help and let me know so I can update procedure.
