Blueprint Duplicates
- Another step needed for the blueprint of song-lyrics.com.
As I understood it we were only going to do pages for the top ten most popular wordtracker terms, i.e. ten pages in total. These 10 terms should be easy to find. Just use the links in the clickboard of the C:/Websites/index.html page i.e:- Wordtracker Lat Wordtracker Pop Wordtracker Comp STARTING TERMS -------------- The Lat search is used to find 'starting terms'. This is a bit tricky but basically you enter the most obvious, concise but unique term for the topic tgo start with i.e. I would think in this case 'lyrics' would be a good one since it is concise and doesn't appear to have any double meaning, clearly it is to do only with the topic. This gives results as follows:- 1. lyrics 2. music 3. song lyrics 4. songs 5. mp3 6. song 7. search 8. rock 9. pop . . .etc What we are looking for are terms that are only about the topic and don't include the term 'lyrics' as a separate word. Also you can ignore plurality/singularity e.g. 'lyric'. Most can be ignored because they are too general or already include the term 'lyrics'. So working down the list I notice these other ones:- 1. lyrics 20. songtext 21. songteksten 45. songlyrics (this doesn't include 'lyrics' as a separate word) 79. toplyrics 80. rootslyrics 100. daplyrics 101. dapslyrics 119. lyricsheaven 142. words of songs So this is a list of starting or lateral terms. Some of them will be rubbish. SCORED TERMS ------------ You now click on each of these to see scored terms appear in the right hand side box. You should see this:- lyrics 60154 57875 song lyrics 49180 47317 music lyrics 8349 8033 black eye peas lyrics 7621 7332 lyrics to 5102 4909 rap battle lyrics 3774 3631 afi lyrics 3408 3279 the darkness lyrics 2876 2767 . . .etc We usually just use the left hand score of the two. So now you can see some good contenders for the top 10. BUT they still might not be the top ten because you have to check the other starting terms first in case there are some better. So now you get:- songtext 23 22 songtext stevie wonder 8 8 capoeira songtext 5 5 This is very low scores and will likely be discounted. Carrying on:- songteksten 98 94 songteksten lyrics alizee 15 14 songteksten liedje nothing i won't do 11 11 songteksten disney 7 7 . . etc songlyrics 416 400 songlyric 12 12 songlyrics to send in the clowns sondheim 12 12 songlyrics i hear you calling my name 9 9 . . etc she only comes when she's on toplyrics 3 3 daplyrics 9 9 dapslyrics 24 23 dapslyric 2 2 words of songs 41 39 words to gospel songs just think of his goodness to you 12 12 words of r and b songs 11 11 words and music of songs 9 9 . . etc That just about does it. THRESHOLD --------- We are normally interested in doing a site of a certain size i.e. a certain number of pages in this case just the top ten. Normally we would set a threshold score below which we ignore results. In this case it is hard to say what the threshold is to end up with ten pages but certainly 500 should cover it. So in what follows ignore everything below 500. DIGGING (HELPS TO MAKE THE BLUEPRINT) ------------------------------------- Now you have to do DIG's especially for the high scorers because that reveals more info, so going back to the top:- lyrics 60154 57875 song lyrics 49180 47317 music lyrics 8349 8033 black eye peas lyrics 7621 7332 lyrics to 5102 4909 rap battle lyrics 3774 3631 afi lyrics 3408 3279 the darkness lyrics 2876 2767 Ignore the first one (lyrics) and do a DIG for the others. This gives (DIG results indented two spaces). Also DIG the DIG results and so on down to threshold 500:- lyrics 60154 57875 (don't dig for this because you already have that) song lyrics 49180 47317 free song lyrics 1278 1230 christian song lyrics 1249 1202 love song lyrics 786 756 country song lyrics 685 659 ....etc music lyrics 8349 8033 country music lyrics 1568 1509 christian music lyrics 972 935 free music lyrics 397 382 ...etc black eye peas lyrics 7621 7332 black eye peas lyrics shut up 37 36 black eye peas lyrics hey mama 36 35 black eye peas lyrics 1 25 24 ...etc lyrics to 5102 4909 evanessencebring me to life + lyrics 1462 1407 evanessence bring me to life lyrics 1184 1139 lyrics to songs 1072 1031 lyrics to ramstein 450 433 ...etc rap battle lyrics 3774 3631 freestyle rap battle lyrics 414 398 hip hop rap battle lyrics 37 36 eminem rap battle lyrics 30 29 ...etc . . etc Digging the Dig results didn't produce any results over 500 score in this case. Looking back at the other starting term scores there isn't anything over 500. The highest is songlyrics at 416. So we can ignore all these. If we had set a lower threshold then we would have had to graft all the results together to produce the final blueprint. So it is clear that for this topic the following is the provisional blueprint with threshold 500:- lyrics 60154 57875 song lyrics 49180 47317 free song lyrics 1278 1230 christian song lyrics 1249 1202 love song lyrics 786 756 country song lyrics 685 659 music lyrics 8349 8033 country music lyrics 1568 1509 christian music lyrics 972 935 black eye peas lyrics 7621 7332 lyrics to 5102 4909 evanessencebring me to life + lyrics 1462 1407 evanessence bring me to life lyrics 1184 1139 lyrics to songs 1072 1031 rap battle lyrics 3774 3631 Well that is 15 pages so we could do those rather than the 10 agreed before. I am duboius about 'evanessencebring me to life + lyrics' I can't see how 1407 different people a month could type this into search engines. Sometimes wordtracker throws up spurious ones like this. Better include them though just in case it's true. > it's nice to know that my plaintive cries were not unheard ... yep, Plexel > is running and I have Song-Lyrics files in place ... and am trying to get my > head around blueprints ... the way I thought I'd start with this is : > > search through (say) Google to see what competetive sites are indicating as > popular lyrics, then run trials through wordtracker on these artists to > ensure that they score high enough.
