11 Oct 2003 - Sorry about the delay, I am always improving Plexel as I go along. I have attached a file, please save it and double click it then unzip. That should create a folder C:/Websites. If not please let me know. If you start netscape and go to the Control page you should now see a link to 'Websites' in the table to the left (called the clickboard) and also in column3. Click that. It should take you to a page where all our online sites are listed in column3. I have just sent you PussCats so click that. You should now see a link at the top of col3 Cat - PussCats.Com clcik that and you should see the homepage. If you click 'Page Index A-Z' you should see a list of all the pages so far. Not many. The pages like 'Cat Pictures' etc are not made yet. Plexel operates relative to the page you are viewing, also known as the 'Display' page. Let's try and make a new page. First click 'Cat Homepage' in the clickboard. This should take you to the hompage called 'Cat PussCats.Com'. We need to make most of those pages in the clickboard so lets start with 'Cat Names':- Click Plexel 'New' button. In the Title box type 'Cat Names' then click OK. You should see a LOG page come up. It just tells you a list of the things Plexel has done. Close it and you will see the Cat Names page. Note that it has a 'Back' link at the top of the clickboard and also a link below the clickboard. Click the Back link. You should see the homepage. Note that there is a link in the homepage column 3 to Cat Names. That is because the homepage was the Display page at the time of making the New page. Now click Page Index A-Z and note that there is a link to Cat Names. Now you can try uploading. Again this is relative to the Display page so make sure you are looking at the homepage. Click Paste and then Upload + Changed files in folder. It should upload the lot. Quite easy. Afterwards, close the LOG and click Return to Display. Now lets look at the blueprint. Click Plexel 'Load' button + Up. This takes you up a folder back to the grey PussCats page. Click the 'Blueprint' link. It is rather involved but I have left notes here and there about how I did it. Don't worry for now since I have done the blueprint for PussCats.Com. You can see it in the bottom box by scrolling down the Blueprint page. All the information should be there how to make the pages and link them. Linking is odne between two pages that are already made. So make all the New pages first. Then you can use the Plexel Link button to link those that need it. Ask me about this next time. I think you have enough for now just with making the New pages. It is often useful to have two Netscape windows open. On the Netscape top menu Click 'File, New, Navigator Window' to do that. Also in the Netscape top menu click 'Edit, Preferences' and make sure you have this in the location box:- file:///C:/Master/www/plexos.com/homeMB.htm This ensures that when you start Netscape it starts up Plexel. You can set the page it starts on by using Plexel Edit + Set Browser Home to Master for example. Then clicking the Home icon below the Netscape menu bar should take you to the Master page. Sometimes Netscape hangs up and you have to close it down by pressing the CTRL + ALT + DELETE keys. Press and hold down CTRL and ALT, then press DELETE. A window should come up allowing you to shut down Netscape. There should only ever be one 'Netscape' showing in the list there. This is one of the problems of Windows. You have to be careful not to start Netscape twice. If ever in doubt just use CTRL ALT DEL to check there is only one listed.
