Page Title Extra Words. I guess the procedure for a general page (including the homepage) is:- 1. Get a list of the the top popular phrases for the page. You can use Utility + Insert Related terms or do it in Wordtracker Pop direct using the page title. 2. From that list extract those relevant to the page, i.e. those to do with the page topic and not about something else. For example you might have page title 'Locks' and related terms in order of popularity:- lock pick door lock mortise lock river lock padlock security lock deadlock . . However, since we decided to do a product site about security locks then the phrases:- lock pick river lock are not relevant. 3. Take out those phrases that do not appear neither in the page clickboard, nor the page column 3 link titles, nor the page content. 4. Take out repeats of the page title (ignore singular/plural differences) and make a list with the most popular phrases first. For example the title extra words here would be:- Door, mortise, padlock, security and deadlock locks. and the full title + extra words is:- Locks. Door, mortise, padlock, security and deadlock locks. 5. The page title itself could be added to the extra words once only or maybe not at all. In the above example "locks" was added once at the end to make it read better. So for each page title you would first do Utility + Insert Related terms and see what comes up. I have increased the number to 10 in the next version of Plexel. From these you may get enough phrases to make up the extra words. The recommended "title + extra words" length is between 53 and 68 characters. 6. If you need more words then you can use other phrases from the clickboard or column 3 link titles. Use the most related ones and remember to remove the page title repeats as for point 4 above.
