Slow Page Display.
SEE BOX AT BOTTOM OF PAGE
Hi Gemma, The problem of slow page display is one I may be familiar with. I assume your internet connection is live when it happens. You can try working offline, to do this click File + Offline + Work Offline in the Netscape menu at the top of scrren. This will stop Plexel looking for the google and ask jeeves ads online and may help, however it will also generate one or two alert boxes for every page view and edit. This may be inconvenient but it may be better than waiting for ask jeeves or google or advertising.com to load the ads. There can be problems with their servers and that can delay things. There is nothing much apart from the work offline method that I can suggest. One problem with Plexel is that for every page displayed it will look for the ads and these have to come from external servers online like google etc. If one of those servers is not working properly the page may take ages to display. Unfortunately each page has the ads. There is another way round this for the experts and that is to remove the ads from the template while you are developing new pages and replace them before you upload but this would be best done on a daily basis. If you try this you need to know that the google ad has two sections of code in the template. To work online again click File + Offline + Work online. With such problems as you are experiencing I would certainly try reinstalling Netscape if the above fails. Also you can try reinstalling Plexel too. It is possible that some files may have got corrupted. gemma littlemore wrote: > > Hi John, > > I have installed the skeleton and uploaded.
