I have added the automatic creation of thumbnail images for the mini-pictures in the links when you do Utility + Spread Summary. In the old system the mini-pictures were the original images and could be very large. The new system should prompt you to download a thumbnail program when you do Spread Summary. Do Utility + Spread Summary + throughout folder. It should put all the thumbnails in for you. For example a thumbnail for foosball_table.jpg would be created as foosball_table__th.jpg and this image is used for the mini-pic in the links in col3 and col1. A mini-pic is the small image you see to the left of some links. If you have used gif images for 'Choose Spread Picture' then Plexel will warn you if the gif image is more than 4kb since it can't make thumbnails for gif's. If it is less than 4kb then Plexel will use the original image for the thumbnail. The whole point of the thumbnails is that the mini-pics before could take a long time to display since they were the original images and could be very large. For a slow dialup connection our pages might not display properly. With thumbnails we can get round this. After doing Utility + Spread Summary throughout folder + OK, not all the thumbnails get made. I dont' know why. I have added an image file check to the Utility + List Problems + Throughout folder and subfolders + Ok feature. It will now show in red images that do not exist but which are referred to in the pages. The image filename check really needs to be case-sensitive since the server is case-sensitive for filenames (Windows is not) but I didn't put that test in yet. So you can run a new check I just put in. Do Utility + List Problems + Throughout folder + OK. This will show the missing images in red. You can then do Utility + Spread Summary throughout folder + OK again and it should put the last few in. Then you can run Do Utility + List Problems + Throughout folder + OK and there should be no images listed red. I have changed Plexel so it doesn't delete any thumbnails at all. Originally it deleted what it thought were old thumbnails but if there was a problem with image names or some images were used in more than one page then it might have deleted some useful thumbnails.
